What does lamination do? And will it protect my pictures?

Monday, March 29th, 2010
Lewford asked:

Ok I am a news paper collecter when my favorite sports team gets on the front page on the sports section. I got some of my papers laminated. I was wondering if the lamination will stop my papers from geting yellow, right now I got my lamination in a box and out of the sun. I want to protect my papers as much as I can. Does lamination work?

Can you epoxy over a laminate snap lock floor?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010
csvegoe asked:

We’re installing laminate snap lock throughout our house and thought we could use an extra layer of protection in the four seasons room. Can you pour an epoxy over the top of it? Reason being, we worry about water and mud on the floor on a daily basis. I’ve seen the “paper” layer lift on laminate and would like to prevent that.

How can I decorate my walls with various photos?

Sunday, March 7th, 2010
dokomo asked:

I have tons of art, print, photos to frame and hang them on the walls. The topics are limited tho with only my personal interest that is “The Beatles” “Soccer” “Dogs”. Now, how and where can I hang them? I live alone in a 3 bdrm 2bth home with kitchen / dining / living. I do not have too much stuff in the house. The color of the walls in bed rooms are pastel Green, Kitchen and dining is dark Blue with white accent, and the living and hall way has earth tone color. The flooring is white ceramic tiles throughout and has light wood laminate in living and master bed room. Most of the photos are 8 x 10. And has larger poster that is not framed. I just do not know how to group them by topic or where to hang them and how to display, etc… any tip?

Laminate a Transparency?

Sunday, March 7th, 2010
Leoness asked:

I need to laminate a transparency…because what I’m laminating is see-through only. When I do it on my old laminator its EXTREMELY bubbly. Is it because of my machine or is it like this with all plastic on plastic laminations.
It has to be laminated. Its not for an overhead. I’m making a “guidline” of sorts and it has to be rigid. Thanks!
