Will fresh leaves die after being laminated or will they remain the same?

I’m making bookmarks with my class and was wondering if their leaves will die if I laminate them or if the laminating will keep them looking fresh.

    Sure it will unless you can assure that it is 100% vaccumed but the colour will still change. Only changes is permanent
